A catch-all e-mailbox is one that collects all the emails sent to non-existent addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you will never miss emails because the other party has an outdated email address or has made a mistake. The disadvantage of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of unsolicited bulk emails, but this issue can be solved by using anti-spam filtering software. It’s also vital to know that a mailbox with an active catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming email messages to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be activated without effort if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created with the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will notice a small-size sign handily situated right next to each one. With only a single click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable the feature through the contextual menu that will show up. If any of the prerequisites for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will warn you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
